The Faculty of Physics at the University of Vienna annually awards the Hans Thirring Prize for an outstanding dissertation of the previous academic year.
For 2016/2017, Jonas Schmöle receives the award for his dissertation "Development of a micromechanical proof-of-principle experiment for measuring the gravitational force of milligram masses".
